(Beethoven sits at a piano playing the Moonlight Sonata to a FRIEND)

FRIEND:        Ach, Ludwig, mein Freund, haff you seen zer moonlight aus here?

BEET:             (deaf) Was?

FRIEND:        Zer moonlight, aus here in dem Garten.

BEET:             Oh ja, zer moonlight, sehr schön.

FRIEND:        That’s a pretty tune you’re playing.

BEET:             Ja, it is mein new sonata.

FRIEND:        Your new sonata?

BEET:             Ja.

FRIEND:        What are you going to call it?

BEET:             Well, as it is a sonata and there is moonlight outside I thought Night-time Knees-Up. What do you think?

FRIEND:        I’m not too sure about zer middle eight.
