Séance Quickie

(a séance in session, three or four bods. Spooky atmosphere, everyone a bit on edge)

MEDIUM:      Is – is there anybody there?

            (pause)

GHOSTLY VOICE:   Yes. Is there anybody there?

            (they all gasp)

MEDIUM:      Yes.

GHOSTLY VOICE:   Well, whaddya know? Life before death.

            (they all exchange puzzled looks)
